Competition: Euro 2016
Market: Croatia to qualify
Odds:
Croatia enjoyed a successful international break, picking up a win and a draw from their two games in the last week. Preparations for this summer’s European Championships couldn’t be going better, but a difficult group won’t be easy for them to navigate their way out of.
Spain, Turkey and the Czech Republic are the three sides joining Croatia in Group D, and will all provide stiff competition. Ante Čačić’s side are no slouches, however, winning four and drawing one of their last six games, so they won’t be pushovers in the group by any means.
They boast a strong squad that delivered in the qualifiers, but will need to hit the ground running when the tournament starts in June so pre-tournament preparation will be key for the side to build up some momentum.
Croatia aren’t often beaten, and have picked up wins against stellar opposition, so they will fancy themselves against Turkey and the Czech Republic. The aforementioned trio are tipped to fight for the next qualifying spot should Spain win the group as expected, and William Hill are backing Croatia to progress to the knockouts.
